CLC takes its inspiration from Saint Ignatius Loyola, who founded one of the great spiritual traditions of the Christian Church. 

The aim is to help each other to know Christ better and to seek and respond to what He is asking of us in our lives.

Pope Francis gives TED talk

A single individual is enough for hope to exist, and that individual can be you, says His Holiness Pope Francis in this searing TED Talk delivered directly from Vatican City. 

In a hopeful message to people of all faiths, to those who have power as well as those who don't, the spiritual leader provides illuminating commentary on the world as we currently find it and calls for equality, solidarity and tenderness to prevail.

Laudato Si 

CLC take as our inspiration the leadership of Pope Francis' in his Encyclical Laudato Si.

"I urgently appeal, then, for a new dialogue about how we are shaping the future of our planet. We need a conversation that includes everyone, since the environment challenge we are undergoing, and its human roots, concern and affect us all" (#14).

Fr Andrew Hamilton SJ has described the distinctive contribution of the Pope Francis' Encyclical Laudato Si, as being to make 'respect for the environment a priority in Catholic life, and to justify that place by making it centrally in Catholic reflection on the human condition'.

Winter 2017 newsletter now out

This Winter's edition is a bumper edition newsletter, including contributions from Fr Andrew Hamilton on responding to the census data and the implications for Christian churches in Australia. There are also articles about recent CLC Victoria events, including the Big Day Out in Traralgon and the Tertianship-CLC Retreat in Ballarat. Also a moving tribute to John (Jack) Nolan, a tremendous friend and figure in the history of CLC Victoria.
